MUSICAL THEATRE
The Festival has taken over the Riva tunnel on several occasions. This year, we grace it with the first performance of a work by Franco-Argentinian composer Sebastian Rivas (b. 1975). “Snow on her lips” combines the sonorities of three instrumentalists, with sound objects and electronic music. Video projection completes this monodrama for female performer, inspired by Franco-German surrealist artist Hans Bellmer (1902-1975), who was interested in the origins of desire. The result is a piece of musical theatre which unfolds with much sensuality and, at moments, even humor.
