THURSDAY MARCH 19

FRENCH MUSIC OF THE LATE 19th CENTURY

8.30pm – Oceanographic Museum

The Modigliani Quartet, one of the finest French ensembles, knows just how to bring out the best in the music of Saint-Saëns and Chausson. The latter’s unique “chamber concerto” maintains an ideal balance between virtuosity and intimate sensitivity. As a prelude, new pieces by Thierry Pécou open the harpsichord weekend.
